It lets ODBC-enabled applications such as Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel access System Z data in C-ISAM and D-ISAM format files. The Easysoft ODBC-Zortec System Z Driver automatically determines the structure of a System Z application’s data by accessing its data dictionary. This means that you do not need to specify the data structure manually. In addition, any user-defined tables are automatically detected and when you upgrade your System Z installation, the Easysoft ODBC-Zortec System Z Driver automatically detects any changes in the System Z files. In addition, the Easysoft ODBC-Zortec System Z Driver: - Automatically detects synonyms in a user’s System Z data by reading the file SYNONYM.VAL.
